A Thanksgiving Centerpiece with Maru Braemer
Join us on Sunday, November 22, 2026, from 1–2:30 p.m. for a beautiful afternoon of flowers, conversation and inspiration with Maru Braemer, founder of Monarch Beauty Farm.
Maru has spent more than 25 years working with flowers. Through Monarch Beauty Farm, she grows specialty cut flowers in sustainable urban gardens on Chicago’s North Side, with a focus on ecological growing practices, seasonal beauty and thoughtful floral design.
During this intimate 90-minute demonstration, Maru will create a seasonal Thanksgiving centerpiece from beginning to end while sharing the techniques and design decisions behind her work.
You’ll learn about flower selection and preparation, choosing the right vessel, sustainable floral design mechanics, composition and the finishing touches that transform individual stems into a beautiful centerpiece.
A Centerpiece to Take Home
Every attendee will receive one Thanksgiving centerpiece to take home, included in the $49 registration price. Enjoy the demonstration and leave with a beautiful arrangement ready for your Thanksgiving table.
Whether you come for the flowers, the design inspiration or simply a relaxed Sunday afternoon at the inner keep, this is a chance to slow down before the holiday week begins and enjoy something beautiful together.
