Holiday Wreaths with Maru Braemer
Step away from the holiday rush and join us for a beautiful midday gathering with Maru Braemer, founder of Monarch Beauty Farm, as she demonstrates the art of creating a seasonal holiday wreath.
Maru brings more than 25 years of experience working with flowers and natural materials. Through Monarch Beauty Farm, she grows specialty cut flowers in sustainable urban gardens on Chicago’s North Side, with an approach rooted in seasonality, sustainability and working in harmony with nature.
During this 90-minute demonstration, Maru will take us through the process of creating a holiday wreath from beginning to end. She’ll share how she selects seasonal greenery and natural materials, builds shape and texture, works with sustainable design techniques, and adds the finishing touches that make a wreath feel special.
There will be time for questions, conversation and plenty of inspiration to bring into your own home for the season.

Maru will also be creating a limited number of handcrafted holiday wreaths available for advance purchase.
You do not need to attend the demonstration to order a wreath.
If you’re joining us on December 18, your preorder can be ready for you at the event. If you can’t attend, your wreath will be held at the inner keep for pickup at a designated time.

Registration is required for every attendee, including members and their guests. Members and their guests attend at no charge: select a ticket for each person attending, enter the member code, and complete checkout. Non-members: $39 per person.
